Our Brown Christmas

Well we are finally home after a month-long vacation. It was blissful to be in the warm AZ "winter" but we are glad to be home in the snow, as strange as it sounds. We really have fallen in love with Rexburg. Plus a month is just a long time to be gone from home. We had a wonderful Christmas! Highlights were:

-Audrey got a Woody and a Buzz for Christmas- it's kind of a toss-up as to who she liked better, but every time we play I always have to be Woody, and she always has to be Buzz.

-Ethan did get lots of wrapping paper and probably ate a lot of it. He was thrilled. Thank you to all who chipped in! :)

-I did NOT succeed at surprising Thomas with his Christmas present this year, but he did love what he got- a tenor Ukulele. :D

-I was surprised to get a new laptop this year! I totally did NOT expect it but I definitely needed a new one because the old one was slowly SLOWLY dying.

-Audrey loved getting to play with so many people! It was SO good to be near family for longer this year- we really felt like we had time to see more people without being stressed out about it.

-I got to do some caroling (for $$$) which was awesome- it was so nice to do something truly musical with my voice. I love my kids, but I get tired of only singing "Rubber Ducky" and the hymns at church. :)

-Ethan isn't crawling yet, but he does find ways to get around- rolling, falling, a little scooting... mostly rolling really. He is a cuddler which I LOVE, since Audrey definitely WASN'T. Still a thumb-sucker but sleeps GREAT. It's nice to be home in a familiar place/routine again.

-Audrey picked up a lot more words/phrases, probably because she was around so many more people all the time. She can communicate quite well and asks lots of questions about many things. She loves to read (same books over and over again :) and she loves to watch movies, especially if I will watch them with her. It's like seeing old friends for her when she reads/sees a movie she knows. She plays independently very well and loves to pretend. Audrey loves Ethan and loves playing with them. Many times this ends in tears for Ethan but I know she just wants to love on him.

I most definitely did NOT take ANY pictures while we were down in AZ (stupid) but we had a great time.
